Gentest ? 451041 ? Corning? Gentest? Cholyl-Lysyl-Fluorescein (CLF), 1mg

A fluorescein-labeled bile acid with a biological behavior that closely resembles that of naturally occurring cholyl glycine. CLF is mainly secreted into bile canaliculi by Bile Salt Efflux Pump (BSEP).

Corning? Gentest? CLF is suitable for studying the inhibition of bile acid efflux transporters, which is one mechanism involved in drug-induced cholestasis. The potential for a compound to cause cholestasis can be investigated in vitro by measuring the intensity of CLF accumulated in bile canaliculi of hepatocyte cultures using fluorescence microscopy.

Advantages:

Easy identification and quantitation of bile canaliculi in hepatocyte cultures

Ability to measure inhibition to Bile Salt Efflux Pump (BSEP)

Can be multiplexed with other fluorescent microscopy-based toxicity assays

Ready to use C simply dissolve in culture media
